Birla Mandir located less than half an hour from Kashid on the Alibaug – Roha route near the Salav village is a beautiful temple built atop a hill. The Birla mandir has a beautifully carved marble nave and the idol of ‘Ganapati’ is mounted on the nave. The idols of ‘Riddhi and Siddhi’ are placed on either sides of the idol. There are small temples of ‘Radha-Krishna’, ‘Shiv-Parvati’ and ‘Suryadeva’ also here. Aarti is at 9.00 am and 7.00 pm
Nagaon is one of the most romantic destinations near Mumbai and Pune with the vast expanse of the Nagaon beach lined with 'suru' trees extending endlessly onto Akshi another beautiful beach to the north of Nagaon. Nagaon is a secluded beach with fewer visitors than Alibaug, making it more attractive to the traveler looking to just get away!
Korlai Fort and Lighthouse also located about 15 Kms from Kashid towards Revdanda was also built by the Portugese. Korlai fort has three inscriptions within the fort. Over one of the inscriptions surmounted by a cross is a coat of arms with a shield, the Portuguese star in the center surrounded by seven castles. The other inscriptions, one over the chief entrance, and one in the chapel, are worn out and unreadable.
